I have a Bionic... I used the "one click" to root... I "unfroze" all the frozen apps in Titanium Backup and finally clicked the install button on the annoying OTA prompt that kept coming up. I did this so I could get the new radio and etc and was hoping to stay rooted like some have stated... well the phone reboots and starts the install process... It gets about 15 seconds into it and fails and reboots back to normal. A window pops up and says upgrade/install failed.
Not sure what the issue is... I'm new to android, rooting and etc... any help is greatly appreciated..
here some info on my phone:
System Version: 5.5.886.XT875.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband: CDMA_N_03.1C.50R Itedc_u_05.15.00
Kernal: 2.6.35.7-g790a33c hpn683@il93lnxdroid29#1
build number: 5.5.1_84DBN-55
ERI: 5
PRL: 15061
Not sure what all above helps if any...
thanks again!
Ok... i figured this one out... apparently the webtop hack screws the install up... i used bootstrapper and recovered from a backup before i did the webtop hack... and voila it worked... checking to see if i retained the "one click" root...
