I am trying to get my droid 2 global (originally used with Verizon) activated on Straight Talk. I have been on the phone with ST for over 2 hours, and they are assuring me that at their end, my phone is good to go.

The problem is that the OTA programming keeps failing. Most of the time about 2 seconds after the recording starts playing the music it fails. On one attempt, it did manage to go a full minute before failing.

On of the support agents called up their network analyst guy who asked for my PRL Version number. He said that my version number is wrong (phone reports PRL version 58012).

Any one have any ideas?

I had tried rooting the phone so I located what people said was the stock rom for the phone and restored it. I have done factory resets. Tried installing the 608 version of the sbf (which failed)

Thought I would ask here before jumping on the phone again.

Thanks

Seth

The issue has been fixed. Turns out that the support staff have been telling me to dial the wrong code to initiate the programming. Got a message to day on my house line from straight talk telling me that my phone had been activated and to dial *228. Dialed it and phone was programmed in 30 seconds :D
