Otterbox and Car Dock

I am looking at getting the otterbox case for my Droid 3, the cheap case i bought at verizon is already falling apart after only a month.

Before i buy it i am wondering if anyone has both the Otterbox case and a car dock, and that the Droid 3 fits with the case on.

Hmmm it does have that lil shim that comes out.... id ask Verizon id like to know to... if your lucky you'll find a DROID lover not just a sales rep that should be able to help...

it does not fit. i have both and found out the hard way. you have to take the back off, but you can keep that front piece on. it almost works except for the rubber plugs get in the way so i took those off and it looks like it fits but the charger kust not go in far enoughbecause even though its plugged it doesnt charge. so now most of the time i have a 35 dollar case without the back piece on...
