Outgoing call voice problems?

Hey to all... I'm new so you know... ha! I got a Moto Droid a couple of weeks ago. My husband complains all the time that the beginning of my sentenances are being cut off and he's SURE it's the phone and thinks I should take it back to Verizon to have it checked out. However, no one else I talk to has this problem. They might not be able to hear me clear when I have the phone on my shoulder, but otherwise it's ok. Has anyone else had anyone complain that your sentenances are being cut off, at the beginning or end? Just wondering...

Are you using bluetooth while talking or just straight to the phone? I sometimes experience a 0.5 sec or so lag with the connection when using my bluetooth ear piece.

Hi I have the same problem. I went in just the other day to get a "new" replacement phone because I was still in the 30-day worry free window.

Apparently this is an ongoing problem.

I'm having the same issue. My brother and gf say that it sounds like I have them on speaker phone. I just did this, so I hope it helps.

- Improve Call Audio Quality (Doesn't seem to work if you have anything to do with Alltel!)

  • Dial ##7764726 (##PROGRAM) and act as if you were going to call that number.
  • Enter 000000 for the SPC Password and then tap Verify
  • Tap on "04 Vocode"
  • Tap on EVRC-B than Apply
  • Tap the Home Screen button and the phone should automatically reset a few seconds afterward. If not, power cycle the phone
  • Explanation - This changes how the phone compresses and decompressed the call audio which improves the quality.

EVRC-B voice quality is bad for me

Following the directions on this thread, I changed the "04 voice code" to EVRC-B and no one could understand me--many calls. So I had to change it back to EVRC.
Anyone else have this experience?

After making the change it didn't seem to help. People still tell me it sounds like I have them on speakerphone... :(

same issue here, have tried listed solutions. dont want to have to get a new one and reconfigure it all the way I have spent so much time configuring this one.

I have had the same problem with my blackberry and just had the same thing happened to the droid...I took it back to verizon and they gave me a new one and I have not had the same problem since...
