Over the air updates

I was wondering if the OTA updates will not only automatically kick me out or root but do they also relay information to verizon about my root status or anything? If they don't, can I just unroot to take the update without having to SBF or delete bootstrap. My phone was rooted with z4 root and I have titanium backup, droid overclock, droid x bootstrap as my rooted apps. No custom ROM.

No, it doesn't send any data, you need to remove bootstrap to accept the OTA, check out post 2 in the bootstrap link in my signature.

Wait, you have to remove bootstrap to accept OTA's even with a stock ROM? The way I understood, you just unroot using z4root, accept OTA, then re-root the device
