Overclocking

What's the deal with it? I just recently rooted my phone and have fooled around with it with various apps, and when I look up information regarding overclocking and underclocking I read a lot of warnings and such. Is it safe to do? I'd like more info on it. Like what is it safe to overclock to... what voltages... blah blah blah. Also I am using JRummy16's app. Thanks

I use the Jrummy16 app too. I use the low voltage pre sets to save battery life and everything works fine.

Ok so that... sorta covers my question. Anybody know why for some reason I can't set the sequences for boot? I can pick one but it never stays.
