Overheating DROID X (Rooted, No OC)

Hiya guys, First post ever here so yeah.

Anyways, my DROID X has been severely overheating lately. I have been on it consistently to watch YT and surf the web as usual on the phone. One of the times, I saw (through my app that does that: Perfect System Monitor) temps of 122.8F and the phone was very hot to the touch near the speaker on the phone. According to Verizon, this is where the DROID X's 3G modem/antenna is located. I am planning on taking it in tomorrow to have it replaced but is there anything I might have done wrong? I used z4root to root the phone and my current phone temp is 105.8F with minimal use. Current CPU usage is averaging around 8-20% of 300MHz clock speed which is what the phone uses as an idle clock speed. I have no idea what has caused this but I want to find out. Currently I am tethered to the phone so I can post this.

Thanks,
