P3 kernel not working at 1ghz

before I installed it, I had a full battery, but when I installed it, my notification light comes on red, and my battery was at 0 with no way to charge it..

I got the kernel through rom manager, has anybody else had this issue?

yes same thing...I have been looking for a faster kernel that works with CM6 also and tried also with Rom Manager

Before you try, you should download several kernels, so you can try until you find one that works.

Despite reading that the chevy kernels don't have a good success rate on CM6, I knew that the 1.2 ULV has worked great on all my previous roms, so I tried it, and it works great.

You just never know what will work with what.

which one is a ulv

ULV = Ultra Low Voltage, probably the least likely to be stable if ones processor is 'picky'.

The officially recommended kernel for CM6 is P3, so just try a few of them.

What kernels do work on CM6 RC1 besides P3Droid Kernels?

I've been having a hard time finding compatible kernels, not all 2.2 kernels are working. If anyone can write up a quick list or ones that do work I'd be forever grateful!

+1 on try a bunch. Every Droid seems to work differently here.
All of Chevy's put me in a M-logo boot-loop (reports of crazy speed with these kernels led me to spend WAY more time than was rational trying to get them to work). P3's work, but I don't get good battery life. I've settled (for now) on jdlfg's 1 GHz 7 slot for CM6 specifically. Working well so far. I think bekit has a test froyo kernel out there as well.

I had the same problem and someone told me about the ChevyNo1 kernel and it worked on CM6 it is the ulv1200 for froyo...it has been working great

I use a low voltage 125/1100 kernel from P3 on my Droid and it works fine at 1 GHZ.

Not knocking Chevy's work, I hear he has great kernels too. I'm just happy with what I have.
