As promised a while ago, the Pantech Perception, a Verizon Exclusive, is available on Big Red's website today. If you haven't heard about this phone you may want to pay attention. Although it is not "top of the line" in the spec department, it is certainly no slouch. For $99.99 on contract ($479.99 retail/month to month) you get yourself one heck of a nice toy. The Pantech Perception features a crisp 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display at 720p resolution, the exact same screen that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is sporting. The LTE handset features an 8 megapixel camera with a 2 megapixel front shooter, is powered by a Dual-Core processor running at 1.5 Ghz, a whopping 1GB RAM, and 16GB of onboard storage.
The device features Pantech’s Motion Sense technology, which allows you to perform various tasks by moving your hand above the screen without actually touching it. Sound familiar? Well, that's because it is one of the main features of the Galaxy S4 which is available now for pre-order and ships May 30. If you are looking for a nice piece of hardware that is aesthetically pleasing, and has a great price tag attached, the Perception can't be beat.
Please feel free to discuss the Pantech Perception in our new forum dedicated to the handset.
