Part 2 of Gingerbread fails

I tried to do the 2 part upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbread as outlined here:

When installing the part 2 zip i get a failed message then it aborts.. Rebooting launched into Gingerbread and things appear to be ok.. What is inside Part 2 that I may be missing?

If you're using the TBH monster updater then that's what causing it. If you are SBF'ing make sure its the 2.3.340 FULL SBF. If it is then try redownloading the file. Good luck.

Sorry totally misread that question. I believe the part 2 is NV updates that have something to do with the radio I think? Honestly have no idea I just know the mobile hotpot patch had something to do with NV updates also.

were you already running gingerbread and trying to just restore it to "stock" settings using the 2 part .zip files or are you on froyo and trying to update to gingerbread?

I was on froyo going to gingerbread. I followed the instructions in the link I posted exactly. Everything seems to be working fine, but Part 2 never would install.

Only thing I could figure is that when you downloaded part 2 a file became corrupt. Try re-downloading it to see if that solves your problem.
