password protected notepad?? any app for that?

i am looking for an app, a kind of "notepad" that can be password protected...or maybe something that password protect a file.

NoteEverything is one of my favorite apps. And I believe only the paid version supports encryption. The app as a whole, however, is worth sacrificing a latte or two for.

Another option is to use an app like "Protector" to password protect entire applications. It provides password protection for virtually any application including any notes application or email.
