Pattern Unlock Problem

My problem is that I set my phone to lock itself with the pattern after 10 Min of the screen turning off. It's always been problem free in my other phones but for some reason, not now.
I set it, then when my screen turns off, it automatically locks the phone. It doesnt give me the 10 min I set it to, it sets itself as instantly.
Anyone else have this problem?

It's working for me. If you hit the power button to turn off the screen then it will lock it and give you the pattern lock screen, but if you let the screen turn off on its own it won't lock for 10 mins.
