I just tried PDAnet, I can teher wired, but it says HTC phones do not support wireless. Is there a way to wireless tether without rooting?

Yes, you can pay for it. 4G hotspot is the only non-rooted tether.

I think foxfi states HTC not support via wifi but Bluetooth possibly ..
