Phone constantly rebooting

Hi guys, First let me thank youll in advance for the help. Ok heres how it is: I bought a new milestone for someone at stock 2.0 and updated it to 2.0.1, then i rooted it using the procedure from the androidhilfe.de guys (update.zip). So the person i gave it to decided to factory reset it...multiple times.. The problem here is now that i did an OTA update to 2.1 since i read somewhere that even if i had rooted my phone, as long as i didnt install a custom rom it should be fine (which as you probably know we cant do because of the encrypted bootloader) and that it would somehow unroot the phone (so im also wondering if its still rooted??).So i did the ota update and now the problem basically comes down to this, the phone is rebooting randomly for no apparent reason. Also was told that there are network issues i.e. the provider here says that the phone is switched off or is out of the coverage area, for no reason :frown: Now that ive ranted all that out. Does somebody have any advice on this?

The hard reset in Motorola Milestone Step by Step

1. Turn off the device, take out the battery and put it in again.
2. Press the camera button, and hold it pressed while you turn on the device. Hold the camera button pressed for so long, until the display shows the Motorola logo appears. Then the power button let go and hold the camera key pressed continue until you see a triangle with exclamation point.
3. Now the camera and presses the volume up button at the same time to bring up a menu. (Might need a few attempts)
4. With the volume button you now select "Wipe all user data" and confirm it with the OK button
5. Then you confirm the security prompt again with the OK button.
6. The reset goes through and you must confirm the restart.

Success!

Hey Techneut, thanks for the reply. Now that you told me how to unroot the phone, ill try that but what i also want to know is whether the rebooting problem is also being experienced by other people and if there is any fix for it.Thanks!
