Phone dialing challenges - access codes

I am having a challenge dialing in to teleconference bridges where an access code is required to enter the specific teleconference. I am able to access the bridge by dialing the number, however, when I dial the 6 digit acces code, my phone is actually dialling double digit entries. Example would be: access code 407468 and the phone dials 440077446688. I have made many attempts thinking that pressing the keypad is too long thus making double digit entries but that's not the case. Anyone got suggestions or solutions for this?

Try changing the DTMF setting from the default "normal" to "long". I had the opposite problem. My tones were not being recognized. I would hit 0 to get an operator and nothing would happen.
The setting can be found be hitting menu inside the dialer.

Thanks JC, this seems to work now.
