I plug my phone up to charge every night when I go to bed so I can wake up to a full battery. Well the past few nights I wake up and the phone is frozen a d I have to do a battery pull. Luckily I have been on vacation or I would have been late for work because my phone is my alarm.
anyone else have this issue and is there a fix? My phone is rooted running the pre rooted gingerbread rom.

I've had it happen a few times, but it has only been after the OTA update. Before the OTA update - no issues at all in the few months I've had it. Mine has been random though. It's never done it several nights in a row like you're saying. I chalked it up as a random freeze or something since it only happend 2-3 times over the last month or so.

Edit, I should note that I'm not rooted... meant to say that in my OP

Mine also did it before it was rooted.

Mine did it twice after the OTA update too. I fixed it by the 'old factory reset' trick.
It's a hassle but for me worth it.

I did a factory reset after I rooted. that did fix it for a while but it came back for some reason.

Mine is doing this too. I don't recall if it did it before the 2.3.3 update or not, and it's pretty random but seems to happen about once a week. When I wake up the green LED is blinking and the phone is completely unresponsive.

Is there a crash dump or anything saved on the phone?

ssame issue on my x2

I am having the exact same issue. One blogger said to wake up before charging and then plug in to charge over night. I tried this and it has worked so far. Don't know if this is a miracle cure or not. If you get a more definitve answer please let me know. Now i no i am not in a boat by myself.
