phone is off but idle

Hey guys just got my Droid incredible 2 and I'm loving it but have a question when I turn my phone off I still think its idle cuz when I go to my battery manager it says its been on for 7 hours is this normal cuz it was fully charged and when I turned it on it was 95% is there a way to fix this thanks guys

By "off", do you mean just hitting the lock button, or actually powering down the phone?
