phone messages notifications

I had problems with my droid and had to have it replaced. Now I don't get the notifications of my phones messages. Can someone tell me what I have to do. I tried to get help from a Verison store and they couldn't figure it out.

I also use to have a bar with icons that told me if my GPS, wifi, blue tooth and other applications we on. I could touch them and it would turn them on or off. Do you know how to get this bar back...

I don't know which notifications you are talking about. But for the "bar", just long press on your screen, select "widgets", then select "power control".

You need to clarify exactly what you mean. You don't get notification tones? You don't get any notifications in your notification bar? Both? Something else?

What "phone messages" are you referring to? Email? SMS/MMS? Voicemail? IM? Something else?
