phone #'s in web pages, emails not propagating to Call when clicked

My D2G finally upgraded to GB, and now if I "click" on a phone number in a web site or email, the dialer opens up, but the phone number doesn't get placed in the dialer automatically as it did before.

I don't have any apps installed that adjust/ mess with with the UI that I know of.

checking google, I see reports of this issue on various forums, but no real fix yet, other than "call motorola"-- and motorola doesn't seem to have e.g. a bug-tracker etc to look up known issues.

Any known issues or usual suspects to check into?

BAsed upon a comment in some other forum, I deleted all Google Maps updates, power cycled phone, installed Maps updates again, and the global problem with clicked-upon phone #'s resolved.
