Phone storage - checking for errors

My incredible is rooted, has the newly leaked froyo OTA update running and is running one of the overclocking kernels, and after I flashed that kernel it restarted and has shown the "Checking Phone Storage for Errors" icon for about 45 minutes, I can't make it go away. Anybody know why it'd be doing this/how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Mine is doing the same thing. Even reinstalled trying different ROM's. Whats the deal.

Dumb Question

Do you have SD card in phone ? What happens if you take it out and boot up ?
