phone wont turn on

my battery died last night. i woke up this morning to put it on the charger. apparently its charging because the white light is on, but my phone wont turn on. what seems to be the problem here???

How long has the battery been charging? When the Droid battery goes completely empty, it seems it has to charge a certain amount (even while on power) before the phone will apparently boot again. This is especially true if you are trickle (USB) charging.

it was charging for an hour. and it just now turned itself on. its only at 5% battery life. thank you though!
