Phones hotspot capabilities

Hi everyone, this is my 1st post. My question is, does my location matter if I want to use my phones hotspot? Meaning if I'm in an area where my phones signal isn't great..

Are you referring to the number of bars you have? Then no. You could have 0 bars and still have a 3g data signal.

Yeah that's what I meant, ok and you wouldn't also happen to know if I can use my phones hotspot to connect with my xbox 360 (with my wireless adapter)

People have connected their phones to their Xbox and PS3 but I am not sure how they do it as I have never tried.

Just to note your ping will determine the amount of lag you experience when playing using your phone as an internet connection. It is not just his fast your connection is. He higher your ping the more lag you will have. Typically a DSL connection will have a ping of about 40-70ms. The typical ping with a 3g connection is about 150-200ms which is not very good.

Oh ok, well I don't really know much about ping but I don't know if my phones 4g will work better, or the same?
