picture in messaging

I'm on droid turbo1 stock messaging & received a picture I want to save do I log press on it and a menu of choice comes up
forward, save attachment , lock. or delete
so i click save attachment but can't find where it was saved to
please help

Hello sugee. Open your Gallery app and look for the folder named Downloads. It should be in there. It should be the first pic, but sometimes it will be farther down the list of pics in that folder.

no folder named Downloads in gallery app
I have a separate download folder but nothing in it

What folders do appear in your Gallery app? As an example I have Phone, DCIM, Download, Screenshot, etc.

it just came over now in a folder called albums I also have Highlight reels and & videos
all are empty except for album which only has the one picture

Yes, sorry I should have mentioned that. Click the three bar menu and then tap Albums to see all of the pix folders.
