pictures and contacts help!

so i've been snapping photos of my friends so i can set them to their contacts and add them to my favorites page. however when i do set them, the pictures is pixelated , even when cropped.. the picture its self is crystal clear, just not when i set them to a persons contact, any one else had this happen to them and now how to fix it?

Have you tried not cropping them? I have pics added to my contacts and they all show up fine. Try letting the phone itself make the adjustment to the screen, I don't know why you're having this issue.
