Pictures in multiple places

Just got my droid, loving it so far. The gallery has me a bit confused though. I copied the pictures from my old phone (bye bye blackberry) and now they're appearing in at least three different "directories" in the gallery. I've got them all in "camera pictures", "camera media", and "all pictures". This seems redundant to me, is there any way that I can simplify this?

this is just the way the stock gallery is organized. there are gallery apps you can download like imagine multi-touch

Yes, download an App called Astro File Manager. That way you can organize your files.

I dont have an answer but I agree the way media is categorized is bizarre. I have camera pictures, downloaded pictures, all pictures, picsay pictures, camera media, camera videos, all videos, video, and movies.

You would think there would be better way to organize that. Say just camera pictures, all pictures, camera video, all video, something like that.

This has been my only complaint since I got my Droid.
I can't believe there's still not a great solution.

I did, however, find a way to hide certain pics. DL an app called photo safe.

you can also hide pics (folders) by adding a "." before the file name in your explorer.
