I will start with Swiftly Switch which does the side edge very customizable and I've been testing for a few weeks..

DNS66 a non root ad blocker.
Google it, developer is a recognized member of XDA.

It just works, maybe not quite as thorough as AdBlock Plus, but considering no root required. I'm a fan.
