Hello all and I hope everyone is safe and healthy.
I have a Google Pixel XL that has reached end of life with patches on October, 2019. If I root this phone will doing so allow me to have a more secure operating environment? In other words, will rooting it allow me to install operating system and other goodies so that I don't have to spend a lot of money on a newer Android/Google whatever, smartphone? Does doing so give me access to rooted OS's?
