Played with Windows Phone 7...

Wow. This thing feels like a competitor to Iphone 3gs or G1. It's really not up to par with whats out these days. Not being able to have apps run in the background, get notifications easily or have much of an app store is pretty lameerz.

This isn't the competition we've been looking for. My prediction is that won't move even 1 million units this holiday season.

due to its bad rep from past OS i don't think it'll take off as fast as they think.

on the other hand, i came from a WM6 phone and i loved it, would definitely check this out if it came to verizon

I actually quite like it. I was almost tempted to get a HD7. Decided to wait and see where this boat goes before I board ship. Most likely I'm with Android for the long haul though.

what did you like about it? It's basically an UI and you can skin Android to do that probably.

You can. I think it is launcher pro that did the W7 skin.

The UI, the smoothness, the animations, the live tiles were cool, but the number one thing i liked about it were the Hubs. I think that is a really cool idea and I like how it groups together related content (i.e. Pics from your camera and facebook both accessible without switching apps)

EDIT: I don't like it enough to switch from android, but if something terrible ever happened to our little green friend, I would go to WP7 before any other option.
