Just came here from using. Storm2

On that phone I could record a message and make it into a ringtone. This DROID2 is going to take some time .

Please help this old man and maybe send me in the right direction

First of all welcome to DF. There are many of us who came from the Blackberry and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out with recording messages as ringtones.

I am sure there has to be an app in the market that allows you to record and save the sounds. I would search the market for "recorder" or something like that

There's an app for that...

...it's called Voice Recorder. You can save recordings as a ringtone. Have fun!
