PLEASE HELP! SPRINT EPIC 4G TOUCH is FROZEN at BOOT ANIMATION displaying "4G"

I hope that I am posting my "plea" for help in the right forum. I am trying to help my friend whose phone this is. I was able to get into the STOCK RECOVERY and select "WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET", only for the phone to run it's "course and FREEZE in the BOOT ANIMATION where the screen displays the "4G". I need to know what must be done to recover the phone so that it is operational.

i figured it out and was able to restore the phone. No need to respond to this thread
