please help

so the problem i have is that i rooted my phone, then i attempted to flash a new ROM. when i did that my phone got stuck on the motorola logo. i had a custom recovery but now when i get to the recovery screen its the stock recovery. Also, when I plug my phone into the computer it doesnt pop up in my computer so i cant copy any files to the sd card. how can i fix this problem and get my phone running again?

The stock recovery should still have an option to mount the USB partition.

this is what my recovery says.

reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wip data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe baseband data
