plz help downloading apps issue!!

someone plz help. ther r a whole bunch of apps that dont install for some reason. some apps work and some apps dont. when the apps installation fails it gives me this notice "unknown reason-18". what does this mean and how can i fix it. thx in advance.

have you updated to the most recent firmware?

also, are you rooted and/or running a ROM? if so, are the apps you're trying to update themed? Themed apps are generally moved to /system/apps (from /data/apps, which is where the Market looks to install updates).
