[Theme GB 4.6.8] Framework-res.apk

Since there are not many ROMs in development and because I am not a developer, I have started this thread so that people might post their framework-res.apk here. I noticed that there are many who made their own status bars and what not.

Please share them with all. I hope this thread stays alive

There was no signal when I took the shots so dont be worried about the signal bar showing black. It is green. Also there are better animations than Gingerbread which had a pathetic grey circle. I changed it to green firefly like style.
You need to try it to know whats more in it.

Update: Just installed this on latest Gingerbread update 4.6.8 and it works great. So go ahead and make more and post it here. For starters I have already given these files.

I would like add a reboot option, and some new icons... when i'll done, i'll post here..
I've done one with some new icons, but it is not good, I must improve it...
When i'll post, you must copy in /system folder, with rootexplorer, then move, not copy, from /system to /system/framework and then set permissions to rw-r-r, always with rootexplorer...

Awesome. Thanks man. Keep it coming. I am also trying to modify framework and put it up.

New frameworks almost look like new roms. Let us do it guys

Ok I managed to push some framework into my phone and now it looks much better with some custom icons for the status bar and the black color to it. I made it with UOT so here is the zip file. First make a backup of your framework-res.apk in system/framework folder and then systemUI.apk in your system/app folder. Flash the zip file by going into the bootstrapper and choosing "Install zip from sd card".
Hope you guys like it. People can further modify this by uploading the same apk files to UOT and then customising it. Please post your framework apk here. Let us keep this group active.

I've modified the battery and signal icons:

I've a Motorola PRO (european version) and I don't know if my framework-res.apk is compatible with the US version. I recommend to use Ninjamorph and change the icons manually.

I've added italian localization... Really Not so much...
With rootexplorer:
Copy this framework to your sd, then copy to /system, set perpission to rw-r-r
Backup your original framework
Then MOVE the new framework-res.apk, not copy!!!!! from /system to /system/framework
overwrite then reboot!

Hey thats great. I am sorry I am not technically that knowledgable to be able to push these files into library. I just managed to tamper the framework files.
