Power Button broke, Reapid Question

So i asked this girl to use her nail to remove the battery door, and while i wasnt looking, she managed to pop the power button off. While i was trying to push it back in, i broke one of the little plastic pieces on the power button. I see i can order one for like 8$ shipped, but my question is, can i just pop it back in?

I think i broke it by Forcing it, i didnt realize it had a specific orientation to it before i broke the little plastic leg.

i dont want to take the phone apart to just replace the button, before i order a new one i wanna make sure it can be popped on from the outside.
