preparing SD card

My wife has an Ally and has had it for about 6 months. I was looking at it the other day because she said it would not complete the network update. It says when u drop down the notification screen "Preparing SD card, checking for errors". She saidit has said that for weeks so something has to be wrong.

Any ideas? Thanks....

I would take it out, backup the stuff on a computer, then wipe and reformat the card.

Ok, I tried that and still same problem. I also took the sd card from my phone and installed it in her phone and it did not recognize it at all, Put her sd card in my phone and it worked fine.

So there must be something wrong with the phone right?

All is good now, my wife took the phone to our local Verizon store and have shipped her a new one free of charge.
