Problem displaying html files after OTA GB update

I get the following message (in bold below) when trying to open a file with this path on my DX2: /sdcard-ext/Minolta/Retail Pricing all models/Single pricing/Fax/3900fax.htm

Web page not available

The Web page at content://com.android.
htmlfileprovider/sdcard-ext/Minolta/Retail%20Pricing%20all%20models/Single%20pricing/Fax/3900%20fax.htm?text/html could not be loaded as:

The requested file was not found. Permission Denial: opening provider com.android.htmlviewer.
FileContentProvider from ProcessRecord{40926930 18325:mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser/10137} (pid=18325,uid=10137) requires null or null

This and all other html files on my phone now have this similar message when trying to open them. They all worked fine before I installed the OTA GB update this am. I have restarted the phone a couple of times and they still won't open properly. Tried the built in browser instead of Dolphin, still no luck.

Any ideas what to do to make it work again or why it would act this way after the GB update? And why in the world are there percent signs followed by 20 in the path listed in the error?

Anyone?

I might also add that I tried a battery pull and that didn't work either. A guy at work also has the DX2 and none of the html files on his phone were affected by the GB update.

Also, I can open Word, Excel, text, pdf and all other files on the same card with no problem, just the html files have been affected for some reason. I can plug my phone into my pc and browse to the same html files on the ext sdcard and open them just fine, so there is nothing wrong with the files themselves, my phone just won't open them anymore.

Typed on my DX2, most likely in landscape mode.

content:// That isn't a valid protocol. What program are you using to try and view this file?

Exactly! That's my point. :) I'm using either the built in browser or Dolphin. Also tried the built in html viewer. I can use either browser to browse the web fine, so it's not the browsers either. I have no clue what would cause this.

I even just copied the html file to both the internal "sdcard" of the phone as well as to internal memory. Still a no-go, so it's not the file but seems like something happened with the Android system on my phone during the GB update. No other issues that I know of, though.

Problem solved!!!

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

I figured out what was causing this issue. dancedroid

It was ES File Explorer. Uninstalled it and html files residing on my phone now open and display properly. The odd thing is that it somehow affected the built in file explorer, because that was the first thing I did while troubleshooting this- use the built in file explorer to make sure ES File Explorer wasn't causing the issue.
