problem during calls

Wife's phone is having issues on phone calls. Her screen won't turn off so she is constantly hanging up, dialing random numbers etc. I couldn't find a setting that needed changing or anything. I thought it might have had something to do with the skin it decal she put on it but it isn't covering the sensor in any way.
I'm out of ideas....

What does your VZW store rep have to say about it? Have you asked for a replacement? Done a reboot (removing the battery)? Hmmm, seems I heard more about this time back here on the forums. Something about long hair. And makeup. Try a search..
