Problem updating to 2.3.340

Hello,

I am trying to install the update to android OS version 2.3.340, but it will not install. It just restarts. I am not very good with learning about "Android phone stuff" yet. People suggested to do an "SBF flash." How do I do this? Do I need to do this? I have already tried a format from the boot-up menu you get by holding HOME and POWER.

Or maybe I can send my Droid X to Verizon so they can put in 4G, and maybe I'll ask them to update it too, if possible.

Someone please help? I also should mention that I'm using a Droid X and I have it rooted. I also want to prevent this problem from happening again, so can I ask if ROMs are released with new Android OSes, or am I going to have to deal with flashing back to the original, unmodified stock for every update? (I'm not using a ROM right now, but I thought I'd ask.)

If you froze or removed any bloat then it needs to be put back on/defrosted. The easiest thing to do is download maderstcok zip and install in clockwork. I'll link right now.
