Problem with Bettercut and contacts

Using BetterCut, I am trying to create an icon for contacts on my home screen. Each time that I try using BetterCut I get a message telling me that the application is not on my phone. That is not true. If I long press home screen-shorcuts-applications-contacts it works just fine. When I go to shorcuts-bettercut-contacts I get the error message. Can anyone help me? For each shortcut I create using Bettercut I get a message telling me there is not room on the screen and then it creats a shortcut but the icon is very small. Does anyone have a clue why it does that? I am using a Droid.

I haven't tried it the way you are, but what works for me is to put the contacts shortcut on your home screen. Then open bettercut and choose to edit shortcuts. Select the contacts shortcut and then to change icon. Select picture or icon pack and find what you want. Then edit text if necessary, and click create.

Works every time.
