Problem with htc Inspire

I was using the htc Inspire and was unable to download Java Applets. Why is that? Can I download Firefox at least? My iPhone also won't allow Java or Firefox. Why is that? Many of my favorite sites need Java applets.

Although we are a Droid Forum we deal primarily with Droid/Android phones from Verizon. The Inspire is an AT&T phone so I don't think you are going to get a great deal of help here. I'd like to refer you to our sister forum, www.androrid.net. They cover all android phones and are better suited for your phone.
