problem with my droid

as of late ive been having crazy problems with the touch screen when i first use it to start the day it acts up and in the middle of the day the most but basically at all times to be honest what happens is i can unlock it just fine, once i get onto the home screen the phone reacts as if i was repeatedly pressing on the screen with my finger over and over again and things like the notification bar opens/closes repeatedly programs open/close wont let me type with the on board keyboard everything spazzes out more or less ive even tried to take out the battery and let it sit for a half hour or more itll be okay for about 5 mins then do it all over again..anyone else experience this or have ANY idea what the hell is going on? lol i get soooooo frustrated beyond belief

Other electrical issues interfering with the capacitive screen?
