Problems factory resetting my droid ( launcher issue )

I was on UltimateDroid2.5 and I tried to do a factory reset by wiping everything and then rebooting. Upon reboot it still shows the UltimateDroid boot-up and then once I sign into my Google Account it tells me I need to open up the internet and download launcherpro, and every time I hit the home button it just redirects me to that message again. If I do indeed download the launcher and I click it and tell it to install, it fails because it claims it is a system app.

I don't know what to do.

Just did this:

Reboot to recovery
Wipe Data x3
Wipe Cache x3
Reboot system now

Motorola M appears
Somehow the UltimateDroid boot logo comes up. I am at a loss and just want my phone back to normal since until I can figure out how to get it to use a launcher I can't do anything on my phone other than browse the web.
