Problems syncing email

I have been using the email app that came preloaded on the phone. I have set up my yahoo acount fine, but i have a second email account with my university email that i tried to add but had issues and got a message that i had to do it manually. Does anyone know how to get my university email to sync on my droid or isnt it possible?

You need their server/port info and enter it manually.

You should be able to ask your university's IT department for the information.

Is your University running an Exchange Server for their email?

Or Google it. I've answered countless "How do I set up my university email?" questions just by Googling. It's a handy tool if you use it (learn to fish ftw). Granted, the university has to post the info but quite a few do. Even if the university doesn't have the details posted it may be possible to perform the setup if they're using something like Google Apps, Live@EDU, etc.

i talked to the tech department at the school and found instuctions to do it through imap account. i needed to put imap. and smtp. before the univeristy server name for incoming and outgoing server mail name optons respectively since it didnt fill that part in automatically.
