procedure to unroot

OK all you greats (guru's) I am rooted and use it for tethering - works great - question is - before I install new up dates - what is the correct procedure for getting the phone back to before rooting? (remove clockwork - bootstrap - unroot - back to stock) looks like I only have one shot at this and I don't want to brick this baby

Install what new updates? For apps? You don't need to do anything.

Now for future updates for the phone itself and returning to stock. There are stickies right in the same forum you typed this in that tell you how to do it. Just go to Droid 2 hacks and you will see them there.
