Process Issues?

I re-charged my phone this morning and am now having trouble getting it to launch properly. It ran out of battery power overnight and shut down on its own as a result.

I am getting the following messages:
Sorry!
The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
[Force close]

Sorry!
The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
[Force close]

My phone is also having trouble finding the Verizon Wireless network.

Any ideas, or should I call VW directly?

Follow-up:

I ended up having to call VW directly because nothing I tried was helping me troubleshoot on my own.

After walking through the battery remove-and-replace step with the CSR, I ended up having to wipe the darned thing clean and reset it completely.

I believe this happened because the battery died overnight...I can't really chalk it up to anything else because the phone was working just fine before this, and I think it's the first time my battery has been completely depleted with this phone.
