Pictures of Google and Lenovo's team-up device, Project Tango has been leaked ahead of their big reveal which is coming at Lenovo’s Tech World event tomorrow (June 9th). As you can see from the image above (and in the thread below), the Tango appears to be an elegant and premium device, aesthetically speaking.
You probably can't tell from the pics, but this will be a massive 6.4-inch smartphone. While that is obviously phablet sized, the extra girth of the device is actually necessary to facilitate the advanced 3D mapping capabilities. The images show off a rather complicated looking camera array. We can also see a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Overall, the device is a looker, but the special 3D mapping features will have to be very nifty to justify the massive size of the phone. Will they be more than a gimmick? Please tell us what you think.
