PSA to the cyclists out there, double check that you phone is secure on the mount

today while riding, my phone fell/flew off the mount (i was turning). i don't know how it happened. i know the strap was on and the phone was secure, so i'm baffled. end result = View attachment 45619
i emailed the mount company (arkon) to see what they have to say about it and if they'll do anything (not expecting anything but worth a try). happy new year to me!

i have insurance. $50 deductible. i'm going to wait to see if the company responds then file a claim.

OUCH! Maybe Arkon will help you out (at least with the deductable). Since I bought the extended battery and extended case for my Bionic, I'm looking at the RAM X Grip mount for my truck. You may want to check them out:
