Purchase New Droid

I know that I saw a thread on this subject but I can't seem to find it now. I'm about to purchase a new Droid for my wife and am looking for the best deal. She is eligible for the "New Every Two" and the phone is $200.00 on Verizon's site.

Please point me to the thread or reply if you know of a better deal. Thanks!

Try Best Buy and Dell! Not sure why Dell is selling phones be before Christmas they were selling the Droid for $120

I just talked to Walmart and since this phone is for a secondary line on a Family plan, it would be $249 which is higher than the Verizon Web Site at $199.00.

The phone is cheaper if you are creating a new account and it would be for the primary line.

I think if it's a matter of saving $20-30 (which is likely how much cheaper it may be found elsewhere), I think it's always the best bet to go with a Verizon store. However, I have read that Best Buy offers their replacement plans, which is more expensive up front than the standard insurance, but cheaper overall, and much more hassle free when it comes to dealing with any issues.

Also, I would stay away from Wal-Mart if they are upping the price for the secondary line. My wife and I are on a family plan (her line is technically the primary line) and we got her Eris for free with my Droid ($199.99).

I think overall just consider what type of customer service you prefer. You will most likely be able to find the cheapest prices online, but you will have no face to go to if you have questions or run into issues. In the store you can tinker with the phones, ask all the questions you want, and you will always have a place to return to with any future issues.

My thinking presently is to go with the Verizon store or online with them. Best Buy nor Walmart can beat the $199 for an upgrade on a secondary line.

Wirefly is $199 to upgrade to a Droid on a secondary line and $99.00 on a primary line. This seems to be the deal everywhere. I'll still go with Verizon.

I'm going to be picking up my droid after work today.
Sears online shows the price as $99, I printed it off and brought it to the verizon store and they are going to match the price. Your local Verizon store may not do it but it's worth a shot.

I just ordered my Droid the other night through Verizon online. I was able to use my upgrade discount, plus the online discount AND the BOGO. I ended up getting two Droids for 99.99.

i would stick withe verizon. if you have problem you take it back to the store they exchange it for you. i know walmart are a hassle. i am sure best buy is ok. Sears don't know never shop there nothing there for me.. just my 2¢
