Purchased App Corrupted -Uninstall?

Hi Droid Users,
I just received my new Droid X and am new to the smartphone world. Please excuse my silly question, but I'll ask anyway. I purchased an app through the "Market" yesterday, and it appeared to download fine. When I opened it up, there were blank white spaces where there were supposed to be text. It appears that the app is corrupted, or did not download correctly. I am familiar with the app, as I downloaded it to my wife's regular Droid last week and it functioned just fine. If I un-install it, will I have to pay for it again when I attempt to re-load it? I should add that i have not had a chance to sync my Droid X with my computer yet because of a crazy work schedule. Both my wife's Droid and mine are stock. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you have had it longer then 24 hours then you will not be charged again. If less then 24 hours a refund will be issued on the original purchase and if you purchase a second time then you would be charged again.

If it is longer then 24 hours when you uninstall something you will see it in your download files in the Market (Market/menu button/downloads). Go ahead and reinstall from there.

Hookbill,
Thanks for your reply. I uninstalled the program, then re-installed it via the "Market" As you said, my account was credited. After opening the new install, the same problem still exists! Empty white fields where the text should be. Am I doing something wrong, or is it a technical problem with my Droid? I have contacted the developer of the program, and am awaiting a reply...

The comment above suggests that you have a Droid X and your wife has a first generation Moto Droid ("regular droid.") If so, your problem may be that the app that works fine on her phone is problematic on your Droid X. Be sure to let the developer know the particular model of phone you're talking about.

I accidentally uninstalled a paid app within the 24-hours and when I reinstalled it I got a message that I would not have a refund option.

Are you saying that any app I paid for and uninstalled after 24 hours I'll be able to get it without having to pay for it again?

Yes. Any app that you've been charged for after 24 hours you own. If you uninstall it it will still be in your downloads area with the option to install at no charge.

Heard back from the app designer. He was very responsive, and asked what "themes" we are using on both Droids. Apparently they had received the same complaint from other Droid X owners. While I am a newb, they are both the "stock" from what I can tell. I assume that my "X" is, as I am using it the way it was when shipped and activated. My wife's was set up at the Verizon Wireless store, but I believe it is "stock" also. I am at work until tonight, so I can't check til then... Thanks for your input.
