I finally got it today and im oh so happy! I purchased the extended battery too! Not sure sure if I should have though.! I guess it takes awhile to see a difference?

You will notice a difference. I had a stock battery for a couple months and had to get an extended one because I am a heavy user. But Congrats on your new DX. You're gonna love it.

Ignore the haters who question your decision to buy it. They will say "you should have waited." The dx is the best phone on verizon right now and there are always better phones around the corner.

Yeah I am. I don't care what others think. I bought what works best for me. The End!!!! :-)

how is the dx better than the thunderbolt?

The DX is my first smart phone, my wife has the dinc. It's a silly little play toy compared to the X. It's big, fast and good on battery. Root it and it's a whole new ballgame. I really enjoy it. You will too.

Battery life, build quality, signal. Only thing the bolt has in my opinion is lte and sense.

I couldn't agree more. I had the Thunderbolt and I returned it for the X. LTE is too buggy right now and HTC hardware is sub-par when compared to Motorola, locked bottloader or not. Just my $.02

I can't agree more on the "you should have waited" people. Always something new coming out. I am a PC tech as well and I get people all the time who want to know should they wait. I just tell them new technology comes out so rapidly that they will wait forever with that in mind. Get the best you can at the time. Even if you bought the latest and greatest that came out yesterday, in 3 months it will be outdated.

I heard they started selling the DroidX with a smaller capacity SD card. What size/speed SD card was in yours?

I'm still happy with my DroidX :)
Now if Motorola had a 4G Gingerblur DroidX that was easy on the battery...

The Thunderbolt & Droid Incredible 2 are both better then the Droid X and both are available now on Verizon. I had the original Droid & while it was a great phone and kick started the Android takeover of the smartphone market, HTC makes a better user experience as compared to Motorola in my experience.

There was no card in it. I was told to pull the one from the Vortex. It happens to be the 16GB one from my original Droid.
